The Black Forest Haunting DVD
An Investigation with Paranormal Researcher Dennis William Hauck
http://www.haunted-places.com/black_forest_haunting.htm
The dream of Steve and Beth Lee and their two sons was to live in the beautiful Black Forest region of Colorado. For four years they
rented homes in the densely forested area northeast of Colorado Springs before finding a spacious, two-story log home off Swan Road in
the thickest part of the woods. What they did not know was that the former tenant of the house was convinced the property was haunted
but did not mention anything for fear of being ridiculed. The unsuspecting Lees signed a lease and moved into the picturesque house, and
a year later, they decided to purchase the five-acre parcel.
That was when their problems began. Within weeks of buying their new home, the gates of hell opened up on them. “One day we came
home,” said Beth, “and it was like the Fourth of July in our living room and in our bedroom. We had all kinds of lights flashing through the
house, and it sounded like people stomping across the roof every night. Strange things started happening every single day.” Those
experiences are continuing to this day! Sightings returned to the Black Forest three times to document the amazing paranormal energy.
“There is an energy here unlike any I’ve ever experienced in all the years I’ve investigated anomalous activity,” noted psychic Peter James.
“The Black Forest is indeed a very important place that should be further investigated.”
Early in the case, Steve Lee asked renowned paranormal investigator Dennis William Hauck to try to get to the bottom of the relentless
haunting. This DVD chronicles Hauck’s intensive on-site investigations and features some of the most convincing and authenticated
paranormal videos and photographs ever taken. To order your copy of this fascinating DVD by mail, click Order Form. To order online,

34) The Ghosts of Elitch Theatre - DVD!
The Elitch Theatre, built in 1891, is a Denver icon and the oldest standing summer theatre in the country. The historical
documentary/ghost story, The Ghosts of Elitch Theatre, details the ghost of Mary Elitch who many believe has kept the theatre from falling,
the theatre's renovations and its life in the next 100 years.
The Elitch Theater was built in Denver in 1891 with the notion that it would bring to its stage some of the worlds most popular stars. People
like Grace Kelly, Sarah Bernhardt, Edward G. Robinson, and Robert Redford, just to name a few. The building has fell into disrepair and
there was a danger of it either collapsing or burning down. Fortunately, it was put on the national registry of Historic Places and listed as a
Landmark with both the state of Colorado and the city of Denver. And now it is being renovated. This documentary is both a historical
documentary about the theatre and a ghost story. Many people believe the Ghost of Mary Elitch has kept the theater from falling. It's
history is fascinating and sheds light on the early days of Denver.
The filmmakers brought in a group of Paranormal Researchers to determine if indeed the theatre was haunted. The theme of the film is
really Its about the passion for the place, and the power of the place. This theatre is not just a big thing to Denver, but to the nation. It is
the oldest standing summer stock theater in the country. Also it explores Mary Elitch's history. She is a fascinating person and the only
woman in her time running an amusement park. She is celebrated by feminists for doing this at a time when it was nearly impossible for a
woman to have this sort of success.

YouOughtaKnow: Ann Westerberg
Author of "Castles of Colorado"
By The Denver Post
Posted: 07/06/2008 12:30:00 AM MDT
www.denverpost.com/lifestyles/ci_9790069
Ann Westerberg has fun on the grounds of Bishop Castle, a labor of love for builder Jim Bishop. (Johnson Books )Castles have fascinated
Ann Westerberg since childhood o her new book, "Castles of Colorado." It's a surprise to see a castle in the suburban setting of Highlands
Ranch and to find that the ruins atop Mount Falcon, near Morrison, are those of a pioneer's onetime fortress. While strict Anglophiles
might dispute Westerberg's definition of "castle," nearly all 20 structures certainly fit Bertie Wooster's view of what constitutes "a grand old
pile." Claire Martin, The Denver Post
Q: So, you use a fairly elastic poetic license for what constitutes a castle?
A: Yes, I know. I tried to include the Brown Palace — I wrote a chapter on it — but my editor said, "Ann, it's not a castle."
Q: But she let you have Redstone Castle. Even though it's more of a manor than a castle?
A: Yes, it is. One of my criterion was that there must be crenelation, and it had to be stone and have a keep, of course, the tower where
people live. Rosemont, in Pueblo, was on my list, but I looked at it and said, " It's a really big house, but not a castle."
Q: What most surprised you during your research?
A: Lots. That Adele Van Cise lifted and moved a whole room on the first floor of the Castle Marne when she converted it into apartments.
And that Jim Bishop built that whole Bishop's Castle by himself.
Q: Tell me about why you included Hovenweep and Cutthroat on your list of castles?
A: Well, they are titled castles. I thought it was interesting because they both functioned as a castle does — they're fortifications, they're
made of stone, they're towers. They don't have crenelation, but they are bumpy on top.
Q: Why did you include Leadville's famous 1896 Ice Palace in your section on castles of the past?
A: Can you imagine ice towers 90 feet high, 40 feet across, and the whole thing built in 36 days by everyone in town cooperating? And
think: Tingley Wood put a bunch of his own money into it. I can think of three castles where people donated almost everything they had to
the project.
Q: The Ice Palace, and what are the other two?
A: Miramont, which was built by a priest who put all his worldly goods into it, and the South Broadway Christian Church, which was
designed by the same architect who built the Castle Marne. John Sutton started out donating $30,000 in memory of his wife. Imagine what
$30,000 meant in 1890! And he kept giving, selling his real estate whenever the project got in trouble. He gave away so much that he
wound up living in the church because he didn't have anything left.
