Lakewood

With a heritage stretching back to Colorado's earliest Gold Rush days in the
1860s, Lakewood incorporated on June 24, 1969.

Lakewood is Colorado's fourth largest city and is located just west of the Denver
City limits. The City of Lakewood has over 6,500 acres of park lands, many
hiking trails and great scenery. The city of Lakewood is home to the largest
concentraion of federal government offices outside of Washington DC.

Lakewood also features an extensive cultural scene, with a 38,000-sq-ft cultural
center and a heritage center with historic structures and artifacts.
