Established in 1859 and designated the first capitol of the Colorado Territory in 1861, Old Colorado City is the oldest
established city in the Pikes Peak Region. It was annexed to Colorado Springs in 1917 and restored as Colorado Springs’

9th Annual Cemetery Crawl!















Held annually in August- Call for exact times and dates.

......On Sunday August 13th, 2006,  the Old Colorado City Historical Society's 9th Annual Cemetery Crawl will take place at
Fairview Cemetery, 1000 S. 26th St., from 10:00 to 3:00.  

Step back into time - the late 1800’s and early 1900’s - as actors dressed in period costumes portray a variety of Old
Colorado City citizens who lived, spent time or found their final resting place in this town.

Enjoy a walking tour and hear the stories of a pioneer doctor, a business man, a madam, a renaissance man, a Civil War
sergeant and many more.  Adults $7.00 or $5.00 if purchased in advance at the History Center.  Children 12 and under
$3.00.
